We were lucky enough to spend International Women’s Day surrounded by women we love celebrating great causes that they care about! Last night, we invited a brilliant group of women to enjoy an International Women’s Day dinner at the Josephine House in Austin, Texas.

At dinner, giving back was the topic of discussion.

Our friends at inLieu, the mobile app that’s changing the way people think about giving were kind enough to gift each lady $25 to make a donation to a cause they love. Why? Because they have made it easier than ever to support your friends by supporting their causes. inLieu of giving gifts, give back!

Here’s what some of the ladies were excited to support:

Ruthie Lindsey was ecstatic to support Thistle Farms, an organization that creates home and body products handmade by women who have survived violence, trafficking or prostitution. They believe that love is the most powerful force for change. And we agree!

Courtney Kerr, Founder & Editor-In-Chief of Kerrently.com chose to make a donation to the Humane Society of Dallas County in memory of her good friend’s pup who recently passed away. <3 Casssie

Jaclyn Johnson, WorkParty Starter + CEO of Create & Cultivate gave to one of her favorite charities: Kind Campaign a nonprofit organization that brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl bullying through their global movement + in-school assemblies + educational curriculums.

Emily Herren of Champagne + Chanel calls her donation an oldie but a goodie, using her In Lieu donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Helping transform lives, one wish at a time.

Dede Raad of dressupbuttercup was happy to show her support to her family's organization Health Outreach to the Middle East. An organization that exists to bring physical + psychological healing to the poor in the Middle East.

The Streicher Sisters + LiveTinted Founder Deepica Mutyala were also in the house for the special evening. Plus some of our fave Austin ladies, Claire Zinnecker, Jen Pinkston, Dani Austin + so many more were there to throw their support behind causes dear to their hearts.
